sleep
- All rooms have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with either Juliet balconies or furnished balconies (we recommend the latter so you have a place to go while your kids nap).
- Standard king rooms have sofa beds that can sleep a child. Only Accessible standard rooms have a bathtub.
- There are a limited number of patio rooms that offer larger outdoor spaces with seating and pool views. Some have foosball tables.
- One-bedroom suites have a separate living room with a sleeper sofa. Some can expand to become up to three-bedroom suites.
- Bay view rooms will give you a great sunset view.
- Rooms were renovated in 2022.
play
- The star attraction is 3 acres of pools, with 5 waterslides (3-story tower, racing slides, inner-tube slides), lazy river, and 4 heated pools. The large waterslides have a height requirement (42" for some, 48" for others).
- The family pool is zero-entry and has a small slide that little kids can use.
- The kids club takes kids as young as 3, if they are potty trained. Full and half-day sessions are available, and sometimes evening. Book online at least 24-hours in advance (it does fill up).
- There's no walkable beach, but they'll ferry you to their private island beach. It's free, but you need to reserve in advance (reservations open 24-hours prior and can be made here). Kids will love the boat ride, but don't expect to spend the full day at the beach because the only food is a vending machine (there are bathrooms though!).
- There's an extensive list of daily family activities and games (bingo, contests, water balloons, crafts, and more).
- For land activities, there's a nature boardwalk trail, rock climbing, and a putting green.
- If you need a sun break, there's a small arcade and a library with books, games, and craft kits.
- They partner with a company that offers water sports (kayaking, fishing, etc) — you can find them in the lobby.
- For the golfers, there's a 9-hole par 3 course that's great for kids (in addition to a full 18-hole course).
- If you want to save money, you can stay at the nearby Hyatt Place and purchase a day pass to use Coconut Point's amenities (but plan ahead, because they do sell out).
eat
- Five dining venues range from casual to upscale: Tanglewood (Southern cuisine, all meals), Tarpon Bay (upscale seafood, dinner), Corkscrew Pool Bar (poolside with kids menu), Mangroves (bar with light bites — recommend outside seating), Cool Beans (coffee shop and market).
- Cool Beans opens at 6am with Starbucks coffee and grab-and-go items — perfect for early risers.
- Food is expensive throughout the resort, other than breakfast for young kids (you "pay their age").
- Make dinner reservations, especially for Tarpon Bay.
- You can order to-go dining online (room delivery or pickup).
- Two fire pits lit at sunset for s'mores (kits available to purchase at Cool Beans).
