FAQs
It is 100% worth it. Core memories are formed when you travel as a family! There may be some bumps along the way — a baby that cries on the airplane, a toddler that wakes up at 5am — but it is still always, always, always worth it! Plus, the more you travel with your kids, the easier it will seem.
In general, we believe hotels make your trip easier and more relaxing. Here's why:
1. Amenities: Hotels make travel easier with well-stocked rooms, pools, on-site dining, and baby and toddler essentials like cribs, sound machines, and car seats — so you can pack light and focus on making memories.
2. Service: Hotels have 24/7 support and daily housekeeping (because turning the corner into a clean room just hits different). And if you run out of milk or forget the baby shampoo — they’ve got you covered.
3. Entertainment: Hotels have activities for kids (and parents) that make travel easier — and more fun. Everyone gets what they need — time together and time to recharge.
We understand that sometimes a house is preferred for a large group, and that some families love access to a kitchen. You can filter for hotels that feature kitchens and multi-bedroom residences on our search page.
Every family has different needs, and we’ve designed this site to help you find the best fit. In general, family-friendly hotels offer spacious rooms, kid-friendly amenities, and fun activities for all ages. They prioritize service, comfort, and convenience — think babysitting services, kids clubs, shallow pools, and family dining. Smaller hotels can also be easier to navigate with little ones.
We're primarily focused on families with babies, toddlers, and kids 12 and under - young enough to go to a kids club and often small enough to fit on an unconventional bed (like a couch or rollaway). We do include some insights for teens, but since we only have young kids ourselves, we are less experienced there!
We hope to in the future, to make your search even easier! But for now, hotel websites are the best source of information for the latest rates. Room rates can fluctuate quite a bit based on seasonality - and hotels often run promotions that impact rates - so we don't want to misrepresent what you could get by showing average room rates. We do, however, provide a starting nightly rate for each hotel so that you can filter out any properties that are entirely out of your price range. This rate is generally what you could get for a standard king or two queen room during an off-peak period.
Yes, it's completely free for you! We earn a commission from the hotel, but it’s already built into their best available rate — meaning you pay the same price as booking directly. Commission rates are fairly standard across the industry and don't impact which hotels we recommend.
We are affiliated with Fora, one of the top travel agencies in the world. Fora has benefits at over 5,990 partners worldwide, including Virtuoso, Four Seasons, Auberge, Rosewood, Belmond, Relais & Chateaux, Hyatt, IHG, and many more.
Our internal tools notify us if a room we've booked has dropped in price by 5% or more. We can then rebook you at the lower price or see if there's an upgraded room available for your original price. This means as soon as you're thinking about a trip, go ahead and book it! We'll make sure you end up with the best possible price.
