tips and watch-outs from families who've been there

sleep

  • Offer two cabin types: 6 waterfront cabins and 3 forest cabins
  • All cabins have 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, and outside space
  • The resort will match your family with the best cabin for the size and ages of your group; you can guarantee a waterfront cabin for an extra charge

play

  • An awesome place for super adventurous families to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences, or for families simply looking to recharge in a stunning, remote environment
  • The staff is incredible; the property is run by a family and they encourage kids of all ages to join
  • Most activities are included
  • They offer babysitters and a private "Kids in the Wild" kids club tailored to the ages of your kids. They will have a phenomenal time, but be prepared to spend big (about $1.5k USD for a full day for up to 2 kids, extra charge for additional kids)
  • Be prepared to see lots of wildlife, including bears, whales, and dolphins

eat

  • All food, beverages, and alcohol are included, and they offer kid-friendly meals
  • You're super remote, so you'll only be eating at the hotel
  • They are very accommodating - if you have specific preferences or requests (like snacks you need for your kids) let them know in advance

The details
