sleep

  • This is a luxurious camping experience (without the crazy prices some "glamping" resorts charge).
  • All tents are the same size and can fit one king bed or two double beds. There’s space for a pack ‘n play. If you want to avoid sharing space with a baby or toddler, we recommend bringing a SlumberPod.
  • Each canvas tent is fully enclosed, with screened windows and a screen door that lets in a nice breeze.
  • Nights can get chilly. They provide extra blankets, but you’ll want to pack warm clothes for your kids.
  • Tents have electricity, Wi-Fi, and a locking cabinet for valuables (the tents themselves don’t lock).
  • Bathrooms are shared and located in a nearby bathhouse. It’s clean and nicely done, with large family-style stalls, but not ideal for middle-of-the-night trips.
  • Tents are spaced fairly close together, so don’t expect much privacy. If you have a child who makes a lot of noise in the middle of the night, you'll probably be happier elsewhere.
  • This hotel is seasonal (open May 1 to October 31).
  • One weekend a month is designated Adults Only. For 2026, those weekends are: May 15-16, June 26-27, July 17-18, August 21-22.

play

  • This spot draws a fun crowd and is popular with families.
  • The family pool is shallow (max 3 feet), perfect for young kids (plus it has a lifeguard). They sell day passes, so it can get busy.
  • There’s also a separate adult-only pool, so you don’t have to worry about kids making noise at the family pool.
  • There’s tons of space for kids to run around — and the setting in the redwoods is gorgeous.
  • You can walk to the Russian River and into downtown Guerneville.
  • A mini golf course and arcade with historic charm sit just across the street.

eat

  • Guests rave about the food and drinks at the poolside restaurant, open 11am–6pm (8pm on Friday and Saturday). There's a kids menu.
  • On some Thursdays, they do a chef pop-up dinner.
  • A light continental breakfast is included with your stay.
  • After 6 PM, you can grab snacks in the bar or take a short walk into downtown Guerneville for more dining options.
  • Outside food isn’t allowed, but they make an exception for kid snacks (and we recommend bringing some).
