sleep
- The Lodge is the most convenient to the pool and restaurant. Standard rooms (king and 2 queen) don't have outside space but do have a sofa that could sleep a small child and some have sliding doors that allow you to create separation between kid and adult sleeping areas.
- Pinnacle Suites are newer, have more outside space, and can be combined with a king room for additional space.
- Fairway Cottages have a kitchenette and a sofa that could sleep a kid, but are all one room.
- The Treehouses offer stunning views and total privacy but do not allow kids under 12. They're also remote and require either a four-wheel-drive vehicle or the resort shuttle.
- Hawk Eye is a gorgeous new 6-bedroom residence (4-bedroom main house + 2-bedroom guest house) with a private outdoor pool and great views.
play
- There’s a seasonal (spring break, summer) kids club for ages 6–12, or you can book private if you want coverage in the off-season.
- The resort pool is indoor, though it has sliding glass doors that can open when the weather is nice. If you want access to an outdoor pool, you’ll need to book the Hawk Eye residence.
- Primland is all about outdoor adventure — hiking, fishing, and horseback riding — so it’s not ideal in winter with young kids.
- Kids 12 and up can trail ride; 5-12 can do pony rides; younger kids can meet and interact with the horses.
- Some water sports have a 50 lb weight minimum.
- Mountain bikes are available to rent, but not for young kids.
- This is a great place to stargaze and has a fully-equipped observatory on the property.
eat
- The food is excellent, with kid-friendly menus available at all venues.
- Dining options include a formal restaurant, a casual bar, and a family-style option with live music on select nights.
- You're not very convenient to other restaurants, so plan to eat all of your meals on property.
- Kids 10 and under eat free seasonally (currently May 15 - September 15, 2025).
