sleep

  • Riverview and Gardenview Cabins are great family options. Each has a full kitchen, small living room, hot tub, covered porch, charcoal grill, and firepit.
  • Cabins include separate sleeping areas for kids and adults: a loft with two twin beds (plus a sofa in the living room) and a queen bedroom downstairs. The loft isn’t full height but works well for kids.
  • The Riverview Bunk Cabin adds two bunk beds on the ground floor, located in the hallway between the kitchen and master bedroom.
  • There is no daily housekeeping.
  • Floors can get cold in the winter—pack slippers or cozy socks.
  • Looking Glass Cabins and Airstreams are adults-only.

play

  • A great base for outdoor adventures, with nearby hiking and biking trails plus local partners offering tubing, fly fishing, and paddleboarding pick-ups at the property.
  • There’s a launch on site for your own kayak or paddleboard (they don't provide any), with 1,000 feet of private riverfront on the French Broad River.
  • Plenty of open space for kids to run and play, and they'll love wading in the river or throwing rocks.
  • The communal lodge has board games and lawn games.
  • Pack a blanket or lawn chairs to spend a relaxing day at the river.
  • Close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville.

eat

  • No on-site restaurant, but a seasonal food truck (Thursday–Sunday) serves beer, wine, and snacks.
  • Most guests cook meals in their cabin kitchens or on the charcoal grills (bring your own charcoal; firewood is provided).
  • Just 1 mile from Biltmore Park Town Square, with restaurants, and a short drive to downtown Asheville for delicious dining options.
  • Sierra Nevada Brewery is very family-friendly, with plenty of outdoor space for kids to play while parents enjoy a beer.
