sleep
- All rooms are large (start at 800 sq ft), have outside space, and feature a modern, minimalist design.
- Junior suites have a king bed or two double beds, and a sleeper sofa.
- Family suites include a kid bedroom with two single beds and closet space — perfect for early bedtimes and naps.
- Imperial suites have a king bedroom, a separate living room with sleeper sofa, and a large rooftop terrace or a ground-floor private pool. These rooms come with butler service (note: only two family Imperial Suites on property).
- Connecting suites have a hall between the two rooms.
- They are currently testing out letting you pick your exact room when you book:
- Buildings 1–3 are quieter (but a longer walk to the pools and restaurants).
- Building 5 is central and has nice ocean views, but is louder (near the pool).
- Building 4 offers a good balance — close to amenities while still having privacy.
- Finest Club rooms (Buildings 4 and 5) come with upgraded room service and access to two private pools, a private beach, and a private restaurant.
- Excellence Club rooms (Building 6) are adults-only.
- Overall, the resort feels more private than most Cancun hotels (not immediately surrounded by other large properties).
- They often run promotions, so you can frequently find room rates under $500
play
- You’ll see a lot of families here!
- Primary kids club is split into three age groups: potty trained 3–6 (or younger, with parent); 7–11; and 12–15. It’s nothing fancy, but it has everything you need to keep your kids entertained.
- “Imagine Lounge” is in the main lobby (convenient to restaurants) and offers 90 minutes of childcare during breakfast or dinner (age 3+, potty trained).
- For younger kids, they offer babysitting services.
- The kids water park (with a lifeguard) is located inside the kids club area. There's a section for young kids (including babies and toddlers) and one for older kids. Parents are allowed to come in, but alcohol is not (and no adults on the water slides).
- There are 10 pools in total — only some are heated, and some families stay away as they are too cold (especially when the weather isn’t as nice).
- Outside of the water park, there are no shallow pools/shallow sections.
- The main pool area gets crowded, but most of the other pools are fairly quiet.
- The beach is large and calm. Kids can kayak, paddleboard, and snorkel.
- Finest Club guests have access to a private area of the beach with shaded seating and sand toys for kids to borrow.
- Tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts are available for active families.
- They organize lots of activities throughout the day (arts and crafts, dance lessons, cooking classes, and more). The hotel’s app contains the daily schedule.
- After dinner, there’s nightly entertainment (think live music, nightly shows, and a kids theater).
- The resort is a relatively small footprint, so it’s easily walkable (and stroller-friendly).
- They offer a spa experiences for kids, including mini facials, princess hairstyles, and manicures.
eat
- There are 12 all-inclusive restaurants; guests find the food to be pretty good — about what you’d expect from a nice all-inclusive.
- Opening times can vary, so your best bet is to consult the hotel’s app for updated hours and menus.
- The coffee shop (The Sweet Corner) opens by 7am; it also has ice cream.
- The main buffet has a dedicated kids’ buffet area. They also have homemade purée for babies.
- Most of the restaurants don’t take reservations, so eat early to avoid a long wait time. Shoji requires a reservation for the teppanyaki table.
- La Cocinita food truck is a great option for a quick and easy dinner.
- Restaurants have dress codes, but they aren’t strictly enforced.
- Your kids will be thrilled by the self-service ice cream machines around the resort.
- If you need food before 7am, room service is available 24 hours.
