- Ocean view rooms are great, but guests also love rainforest view rooms.
- Rooms are spread across a large resort footprint, so request a location close to pools or dining if you want to minimize walking.
- They do not offer rollaway beds.
- The resort completed at $60m renovation at the end of 2025, so rooms and common areas feel new and fresh.

- Multiple outdoor pools across the property, including family-friendly pools and a separate adults-only pool.
- The Turtle Cove Adventure Pool (zero-entry and larger waterslides) and the Coquí Splash Pool (splash pad, small waterslides) are newly renovated.
- On-site age 5+ kids club (Xplorers Club) has limited hours and is activity-based.
- Beachfront setting with a wide sandy beach; ocean conditions can vary, so this is better for sandcastle building than consistent little-kid swimming.
- They offer free guided nature hikes for families. Guided bike tours (paid) are available for kids as young as 5.
- Other resort activities include beach volleyball, beach soccer, lawn games, turtle and iguana feeding, tennis, and golf.
- There's a tour company on-site for water sports and off-property excursions.
- Babysitting services are available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.
