sleep
- Rooms are charming, rustic (but luxurious), and have great views of the mountains or lake. This hotel reopened in 2021 after major renovations. Now part-owned by the family who owns Blackberry Mountain and Blackberry Farm.
- Inn rooms (15 total): small, with just one king or one queen bed (only work for families traveling with one baby). There's one Inn Suite with a king bed and alcove with two twin beds.
- Cottage rooms (30 total): located in several cottage buildings (near the inn). Rooms have one king, one queen, or two queens. Some have a daybed that can sleep a child. If you need more space, book a Cottage Suite (connected cottage room).- Lake Cottage Suites don’t have a bathtub or a living room (just two connected bedrooms, one with a king and one with two twins).
- Hampton 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom suites do have a living room.
- Halstead 2-bedroom has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a trundle daybed in the living room. It has outside space, but it’s a shared porch.

- Standalone cabins (4 total)- Mayapple Cottage: 2-bedroom, close to the inn, no kitchen.
- Log Cabin: 450 sq ft, one-room cabin (king bed) with only a mini fridge — good fit if you're just traveling with a baby.
- Thorpe Cottage: 3 bedrooms and a kitchen.
- Hawthorne House: 5 bedrooms total (can book the upper and lower levels separately); upper level has a full kitchen, lower has a kitchenette. It's on the other side of the lake from the inn, pool, and restaurants, but comes with a golf cart to get around.

- Starting rates are $400 in January and February, $600 in November, December, March, and April, and $1000 May–October.
play
- This hotel feels like a (luxury) summer camp for kids and adults.
- Kids club is available Monday–Saturday in the summer for ages 5–12 (10am–8pm). There’s a playground by the kids club.
- They have a list of recommended babysitters and can help you schedule one.
- The lake has kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing. It’s swimmable, and there are several platforms in the water, as well as a small beach.
- The pool overlooks the lake and is great for families. It’s shared with members of the High Hamptons country club but doesn’t feel too crowded.
- Young kids will love seeing their two miniature donkeys (and can even go on a donkey cart ride).
- There’s tons of grassy areas for kids to run around, and a beautiful dahlia garden to explore.
- The property features 15 miles of hiking trails across 1,400 acres with varying difficulty levels.
- There's a Tom Fazio designed golf course. Kids can play with an adult.
- Kids 4+ can take tennis lessons.
eat
- The food is delicious (as you’d expect from the team behind Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain).
- Meals are not included (they used to be), but they sometimes offer inclusive packages; if you book through us, breakfast is included.
- Breakfast starts at 7:30am. For dinner, they ask kids under 6 to dine on the early schedule (6:30pm reservation at the latest).
- Dinner in The Dining Room is more formal. Lunch in The Tavern is more casual (and has delicious pizzas)
- You also have access to the three restaurants at the High Hampton’s Residential Membership club. The Range House and Mitch’s Lakeside are great casual options.
- The lounge chairs on the lawn are a great place to have a cocktail while your kids run around.
- In July, The Dining Room and The Tavern are closed on Wednesdays. August through October it’s closed Tuesday and Wednesday. On those days, a to-go breakfast will be provided and dinner can be eaten at one of the Residence Club restaurants.
